... manny pacquiao victorious on all of his 3 matches in 3 different weight divisions!!!
... nadal ending the year as no. 1 (sorry federrer)!!!
... ny giants upsets new england patriots in a spine-tingling fashion!!!

... hamilton successful in conquering the f1 championship (massa was soooooooo close)
... celtics manhandled lakers in the lackluster finals series (watch out... next year is lakers year)
... ronaldo named as the fifa player of the year (i hate this guy, hehe)
... boston red sox failing to be repeat champions


2008 was a very exciting year for sports fans. i wonder if 2009 can equal or even surpass it.
