a couple of years ago, i attended this talk by francis co. to those who don't know him, he's a successful businessman, writer, and an inspirational speaker. i'm not really the type of person who attend this kind of stuff, but since it was free i said to myself what the heck. i wrote down some things i got from the talk... might as well share them... here it goes...
adversity makes us appreciate simple things... we can’t fight time/gravity, so we should grow old gracefully... don’t stop learning... take care of our health... exercise, no point in earning when we die early... enjoy our life’s trials and victories with the people who matter... feed our mind with good thoughts... stay away from negative people... bad company corrupts good character... have a healthy sense of humor... be kind to people... there will always be people who are hard to deal with, so try to control self and just smile at them... success is a very difficult/heavy responsibility... prosperity can be worse than poverty... so count our blessings... don’t be insecure... fly high but know how to fly... life’s short but can be fulfilling...
