changes
by stars
this time in between the day and the night
the light kills my sense of life
so scared, i'll turn it on, turn it on, turn it on
it's dull, this dusk, this desk, this dust
my eyes adjust, i'll blow out the flame
can you and me remain
changes, i've never been good with change
i hate it when it all stays the same
caught between the gold and the gain
changes, i've never been good with change
i hate it when it all stays the same
caught between the cold and the wave
my heart beats up again
once said, words make a world of their own
i misread, i can't get you back on the phone
so tired, i'll turn it off, turn it off, turn it off
how's that last week we were whole
you're far away and I hardly know
can you and me delay
changes, I've never been good with change
i hate it when it all stays the same
caught between the gold and the gain
changes, I've never been good with change
troubled when it all stays the same
i'm caught between this cold and the wave
my heart beats up again
are you my trouble
are you my trouble
are you my trouble
trouble
are you my trouble
are you my trouble
are you my trouble

azkals vs sri lanka 1 - 1
i'm a bit disappointed. azkals didn't deliver. we're lucky to be able to score that scrappy goal in the 2nd half. o well, hopefully we will see a different azkals this sunday at the rizal memorial field.
thanks to the friendly staff of friday's glorietta for the great service!

toy con 2011
i had loads of fun at the 10th philippine toys, hobbies and collectibles convention at the megatrade hall last weekend. my only complaint is that it's too crowded. they should get a bigger venue next year. maybe smx or the world trade centre.

happy bday rizal
in celebration of rizal's 150th bday, i dragged my lil sister to check out the yuchengco museum at the rcbc plaza. the highlights of our visit i guess was getting to see juan luna, fernando amorsolo and carlos francisco paintings up close, and discovering that jose rizal is a certified chickboy. haha.
to learn more about the yuchengco museum, visit www.yuchengcomuseum.org/
what's 100 bucks right? skip starbucks for a day and feed your brain with information that matters.

super 8
i think this quote describes super 8 best.
"Enormously fun. A film about 8mm that deserves to be seen on the big screen, in glorious 35mm."
it's still showing in the cinemas like gbelt. you still have a few days guys.
by the way, dakota fanning's younger sister, elle, will be a hottie in 5 years. or maybe even less. she's my next emma watson. haha.

le marquis
le marquis is the only film i got to watch in the french film festival held a couple of weeks ago at the shangri-la mall. the film was hilarious and quite memorable since most of the scenes were shot in the philippines (cebu and manila i think). it's not perfect but surely le marquis is one of the french mainstream films that i will remember for a long time.
congrats mavericks
this may be a bit too late. hopefully this post makes up for my laziness.

azkals tickets sold out!
http://www.mb.com.ph/node/321258/ticket
whoah!!! good thing we were able to get tickets. i'm actually selling my 3K ticket for 5K. kidding.
i'm surprised tickets were sold out on the first day. it's actually kinda pricey considering my german friend said that it only cost 10 to 12 euros a game in germany.
see you at the rizal field on july 3!

swoosh41
i'm not really a big fan of the mavericks. but since they are against my "hatest" team, i'm rooting for them in the finals. can they do it? i do think that they have what it takes. dallas has a bunch of reliable veterans with nowitzi, which i consider the most complete player in the league, taking charge when he has to.
lebron, watch out for swoosh41 coz he will be burning the net from everywhere, and there's nothing you can do to stop him.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
kobe vs lebron finals could have been EPIC!!! too bad it didn't happen. kobe has two to three years left, the possibility is still out there.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
one of the good thing about my one month medical leave is i get to watch the nba finals live on tv, and not from lousy web updates when i'm in the office.

reality check for the azkals. they loss a match that they should have easily won (4 - 3). one month is not really a long time to get back in shape.
time to get serious guys!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
i only got to watch the game until half-time coz i went to mass. i hope i get to see the replay on tv soon.

x-men: the first class
good job matthew vaughn. you have just revived the x-men franchise that was almost destroyed by brett ratner's the last stand.
looks like this year's set of summer movies is better than 2010. 2011 has thor, f5, and x-men leading the pack.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
x-men: first class is an awesome addition to matthew vaughn's directing resume. his credentials include kick-ass, stardust, and layer cake. all are worth seeing.

smart gilas vs iran
it was my first time to watch smart gilas live in action (and maybe my first time to watch a game in ultra). too bad we loss though. good effort anyway. we gave iran a big scare in the final seconds.
let's go for bronze tomorrow. it is a great achievement still since it's been awhile since we placed in this tournament.

workaholic in denial?
i took this interesting test last week before i was hospitalized... here's the link.
http://www.cnn.com/interactive/2011/05/living/workaholic.test/index.html?hpt=Sbin
and my score?
my score: 51
If you scored between 67 to 100 points, you are considered highly workaholic. This could mean you are headed toward burnout, and new research suggests that family members may be experiencing emotional repercussions as well.
If you scored between 57 to 66 points, you are considered mildly workaholic. In short, there is hope. With acceptance and modifications, you and your loved ones can prevent negative lasting effects.
If you scored in the lowest range, between 25 to 56 points, you are not considered a workaholic. You are probably a hard worker instead of a workaholic. You needn't worry that your work style will negatively affect yourself or others.
