adobo and football

quick notes on last night's football escapade

- portugal's massacre of north korea was painful to watch. o well. i'm still impressed with the koreans. for a team with little international exposure and with only three players on the squad play professionally outside of north korea (two in japan and one in russia), they surprised everyone when they qualified for the world cup. and with brazil, portugal, and ivory coast in their group, no one really expects them to salvage a win (or even a goal). but i like seeing them play. you see a lot of heart that's lacking in a quite number of more talent laden teams.

- the attack-minded chileans proved to be the better team with a late goal against the 10-man swiss army. chile now leads the group with 6 points. the game against spain this friday is crucial. the match will determine if spain gets to move to the next round.

- spain finally found their form. villa's double was good enough. i agree with some analysts though that spain sometimes passes too much, even when a shooting oppurtunity is at hand. they could have doubled the goals.

- i discovered that the pinoy adobo at fridays is really good. try it and let me know if you agree.

- the world cup is slowly burning a hole in my wallet. it has taken over my life as i know it. haha.
