one of my new year's resolution is to get to read at least 12 books this year.
just finished books of magic today (issues 1 to 21). i consider the series my book one.
one down. eleven to go. and it's already march. got to catch up on my reading.

books of magic came out in 1990 and it's about a lanky (also "sort of" an orphan) dark-haired boy with round eyeglasses. and this 12-year old english boy has the potential to be the most powerful wizard in the world and has a little barn owl.
hmmm. sounds familiar??? do i hear harry potter??? tsk tsk. i wonder if jk rowling got to read the series... harry potter is basically the much cooler tim hunter. o well... unoriginal ideas can make you a billionaire.
