people come and go... for several reasons, like going back to the province after getting burnt out climbing the corporate ladder, migration to the land of greener pastures, or even death, maybe it be a physical death or death of friendship/relationship. these things happen… and is a part of life.
and there's no guarantee that you get to meet them again. if it happens, consider yourself lucky. chances are... it's either you get reacquainted and revive the relationship, or the other way around. you may realize that the worlds that the two of you are into are so different, and you guys have evolved into two
entirely different people, the complete opposites, and that being around each other is absolute craziness. i guess the best thing you could do is to just let this person be a reminder of who you once were, and how he or she is an essential part of who you are now.
no one leaves without a trace.

I know what you mean. Sometimes i get that "hmmm i think we've come to the end of our story and i didn't even saw it coming. But thanks for that chapter in my life."
