i had one busy week. finally, it's over.
four days of rest and reflection awaits me.
they say that life is short. it is indeed. i'm only thirty years of age but sometimes i feel that i'm old - that it's downhill from where i am. i already miss the energy, spontaneity, and even the recklessness of youth. i now have responsibilities. i can't just stand still and wait for things to happen.
i'm currently reading a book by terry pratchettt. it says that one of the shortest-lived creature on earth is the adult common mayfly. it lasts for one day. try to imagine... living for just one day... this may seem tough for the mayflies. but the important thing is not how long your life is, but how long it seems. to a mayfly, a single hour may last as long as a century. it's all a matter of perspective.
so let's look ahead and not waste time. we should look into the coming days with optimism. frank sinatra was on the dot when he said that "the best is yet to come...".
for now, it's time to rest our tired and wounded hearts...
come monday, it's game time.
the faster you live, the more time stretches out.
