notes on my fourth week

- finally got to check out the hockey hall of fame. canadians are obsessed with this sport so i need to at least see the stanley cup with my own eyes before i leave this freezer. hehe. i was able to take a lot of pictures especially wayne gretzy memorabilias.

- after visiting hhof, i joined the steam whistle microbrewery 2pm tour and went home with a six-pack and a good buzz.

- st lawrence market reminds me of the salcedo market. had my lunch at busters fish house. i had the buster's cove blue fish and chips. it was more than satisfying or maybe i was just really hungry. i also got to check out the market gallery upstairs. interesting art works but for some reason i got bored. maybe i was just tired from all the walking.

- discovered that there's a golf town store at king street near my hotel. yahoo. i need to shop for golf shoes. i'm still comtemplating whether i'm getting a nike or footjoy.

- spent the whole sunday afternoon at the distillery district. it's the cubao expo or the collective of toronto. my favorite place here is the mill street brewery for obvious reasons. hehe.

- there's this chocolate place at the distillery district that i highly recommended for choco lovers. must try is the famous mayan hot chocolate shot. i also went home with a bag of almond clusters (with dark peruvian chocolate, handmade toffee & almonds) and a bar of dark peruvian chocolate (64%). soma chocolate is a place to eat, drink, and worship chocolate.

- i checked out club xs at ritchmond street sat night. my first time to go to a club alone. pathetic. haha. i was not impressed. walang sinabi sa encore or republiq. i enjoyed people watching though. there were a lot of "characters" in that shit hole.

- since the weather was above zero tuesday night, i decided to grab a beer at wayne gretzys restobar. watched the toronto rapters and maple leafs games. here's the results

toronto raptors vs miami heat - heat clobbered raptors 103 - 95. raptors is in desperate need of more quality players. we need another vince carter asap.

toronto maple leafs vs buffalo sabres - exciting game that showcased buffalo sabres goal keeper's world class talent. forgot his name though. haha. i need to do some research. sabres lost 2 - 1 but it could have been 5 - 1 if not for the keeper's tenacity in protecting the goal at all cost.

- i was craving for chicken wings again so i decided to finally have dinner at hooters thursday night since it's just a five minute walk from my hotel. temperature was above zero again so i took advantage of it. i ordered a 10 piece medium breaded chicken wings, with a side order of celery sticks with bleu cheese, and a pint of alexander kieths white beer. yummy. i really did go to hooters for the wings, and i'm not kidding =p

- shopped for bargain books at chapters richmond street. 5 books for 10 bucks. good deal huh?
