i grabbed a copy of esquire philippines' (may) last weekend and i was somewhat satisfied. i still like rogue better but i do think esquire has the potential to top rogue.
for people who are looking for a good read, give esquire philippines a try. support local stuff!

redemption
the bayern vs chelsea game proves that the best or better teams don't always win. character, determination and a little bit of luck play a bigger role than talent alone. i was dead tired from my trip from anvaya cove but i managed to stay up the entire time (with a little help from red bull lol). it was certified classic. there was drama. in fact, it was kinda overwhelming (my 32 year old heart was put into stress test haha). there were a lot of heroes... ashley cole more than made up for the absence of terry and ivanovic. peter cech made that crucial penalty save. mata was aggressive upfront and was responsible for the corner kick that led to drogba's brilliant header. and of course, there's drogba. his confident penalty kick sealed the deal for the blues. redemption at last.
if you have friends who want to know why we love football... tell them to watch the replay. the beauty of the game can't be explained any better than this.

2012 book 3: esquire the rules
i've been really busy lately. no time for books! which is a very very sad thing. luckily i got stuck at fully booked bonifacio high street tonight because of the rain... for 40 minutes, the rules by esquire kept me preoccupied... funny shit! and i did save 390 fifty bucks. cheapskate! haha.

euro 2012 kits are out!
nike and adidas have already released their official euro 2012 kits.
i already got myself the new spain kit. excited for july! haha.
---------------------------------------------------------------
i think adidas beats nike again! the nike kits are kinda too plain-looking.
for nike kits, i think boni high street has the most extensive collection. for adidas, it's gbelt.

beat the heat II
ang init pa rin! anyway, here're more suggestions on how to cool down this summer.
1) sangria at cerveseria or beso
nothing to do on a summer afternoon? hang out at cerveseria or beso, and get a good buzz from a pitcher of sangria.
2) lemon barley at makan makan
the only place i know where i can find fresh lemon barley. yummmm!
3) watermelon lemonade or ginger lemonade at nolita
get them spiked! there're actually kinda potent. the only item reasonably priced at nolita.
4) four seasons shake at dulcinea
an old favorite. brain freeze!
5) fresh lemonade at muscle beach
summer flicks are more fun with a bucket of popcorn and lemonade from muscle beach!
i almost forgot... if you happen to be at eastwood from 1130pm - 9am on week nights... you might wanna try the iced buko cream shake at the night food bazaar. good shit.
keep your cool guys... :)

game zoo
if you're not in a mood for gambling at resorts world, you can still waste money by dropping by game zone. i lost around 800 bucks last night. lol. but it was fun. good... clean... kind of fun!
check out "the house of hell" - a 4d experience. i hate to admit that there were times that i almost shrieked like an 8 year old girl. haha. good times!

walk this way
finally i was able to get the chance to experience "walk this way" by carlos celdran. for 1,100 pesos, it's kinda pricey for a tour of intramuros... but i do think it's more than that. you get out of it as a slightly different person... perhaps a prouder... more confident filipino.
